Sofia Bulgaria Festival

Dear colleagues and watercolor friends, we are inviting you to join us in the Watercolor Festival that we are organizing and which will take place in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, from 1st to 4th December this year.

The program starts on 1st December at 6:00 PM with the Grand Opening of the Travelling Exhibition and Festival. On the 2nd and 3rd of December, there will be watercolor demonstrations by Armando Xhomo (Italy), Atanur Dogan (Canada/Canada), Ekaterina Maltseva (Italy), Hannie Rieuwerts (Netherlands), Helidon Haliti (Albania), Pasqualino Fracasso (Italy), Prafull Sawant (India), Mia Koeneman (Netherlands), and many other distinguished watercolor masters. Then on 4th December, you can enjoy Plein-air painting or the cultural program we have organized for you with a visit to the historic center of Sofia and Vitosha mountain.

For those who would like to stay longer, we would like to let you know that the artist Prafull Sawant will conduct 3 master classes on the 4th, 5th (Landscape, Sityscape, Portrait), and 6th of December. The places are limited, so please let us know if you are interested in attending.

All the indoor events will take place in an art gallery in the center of Sofia, as for the accommodation we have arranged special prices with Lion Hotel Sofia, which is just within 10 minutes walking distance from the gallery. A single room costs 42 euros and a double room 52 euros. If you would like us, to help you book the hotel at these prices, please let us know.

The events in Sofia are part of the IWS Bulgaria Travelling Exhibition in the frame of the International “Watercolor & Spirit” Triennial. The main exhibition with the Triennial artworks took place in Varna this summer and will be presented in 9 more art galleries around Bulgaria.
